A charity performance in aid of the Crescent will be held on 13 September 2018 from 7.30 at the Abbey Theatre of Butterflies are Free, a play by Leonard Gersche
"Don Baker, hero of his mother's children's book series "Donnie Dark" has been blind from birth. He moves to Manhattan to pursue his ambitions of being a songwriter, and he finds himself living next door to an extrovert actress, Jill - but when his mother comes to visit, she cannot help interfering, with hilarious and touching results"

Crescent Open Day 02 September 2018 - Celebrating our 30th Anniversary
Our annual open day and garden party will be held this year on Sunday 02 September from 2pm, all welcome, free entry, live music from local bands, refreshments will include tea, cake, wine, beer, crisps/nibbles and sandwiches. Come along to find out more about our work and help us celebrate 30 years supporting St Albans, Hertfordshire and beyond.
Sausage Sizzle 17 June 2018
Another awareness and fundraising day with our friends at Bunnings this weekend from 9 am to 4 pmSunday at Hatfield Road St Albans AL4 0JJ
Station Collection 13 October and Sausage Sizzle 14 October
We will be holding an awareness and fund raising event at Harpenden Railway Station from 7am on 13 October and another Sausage Sizzle at Bunnings Griffiths Way St Albans on 14 October from 8am. We would love to see you at either, or both, events

Open Day 03 September 2017
Our annual open day will be 03 September from 2pm, all welcome as always, a garden party will be held with live music from local bands. Come along for tea, cake and other refreshments in our garden from 2 to 5 on Sunday 03 September to find out more about our work in the community.

Busking Day Saturday 03 June 2017
Another of our popular busking days will take place on Saturday 03 June from 10am raising awareness of HIV and much needed funds to help us in our work. We cant do what we do without you ! Please do come along to listen to the wonderful local musicians who have all donated their time and talent to help us in our work.
We always need help with such events so if you can spare any time to help us with collecting on the day, or want to find out more about us please do get in touch. Sausage Sizzle Bunnings Griffiths Way St Albans Saturday 18 Feb 2017
As you may know Bunnings the Australian DIY chain has purchased Homebase and is in the process of rebranding and restocking former Homebase Stores. The first two UK stores to undergo this aare in St Albans at Griffiths Way by the Abbeyline station and Hatfield Road. Bunnings like to be involved in their local community and help local charities fund raise and have already helped us redecorate our therapy and counselling room, donating materials and labour to do so.
On the 18th February they will be holding an opening event at their store in Griffiths Way and have asked us to help with the "Sausage Sizzle" and cake stall. We will be there selling home baked and donated cakes plus providing drinks and freshly cooked sausages from the barbeque for those visiting the store. All proceeds collected will go directly to the Crescent.

World Aids Day Busking Day 03 December 2016
Another fantastic event, thanks to all who came along, donated, held a collecting bucket and of course performed on the day! An immense amount of local talent who all gave their talent and skill so freely again this year, organised by our own Denise Parsons of course. We raised over £2000.00 on the day, a fantastic amount and will help us continue providing services to the most vulnerable in our society. On behalf of all members, staff and volunteers a huge thank you to you all ! The Queen's Award for Voluntary Service 2016 - The Crescent
We are thrilled to anounce that Her Majesty has bestowed upon the Crescent the highest award possible for a voluntary organisation in the UK, The Queen's Award for Voluntary Service. This award is the equivalent of the MBE for a voluntary organisation and we are thrilled that Her Majesty has recognised the hard work of our volunteers and staff in the community.

Busking Day 23rd July 2016 and Open Day 04 September 2016
Please do join us again this year for another of our fun busking day events at the Clock Tower in St Albans High street from 11am on Saturday23rd July 2016. A full line up of the talented local musicians and bands performing on the day will follow shortly. It will be a fun event, do come along, it is free, however donations are welcome and we will be collecting in the city centre throughout the day.

Please do join us on Saturday 15th August for another of our fun busking days at the clock tower in St Albans High Street. It is a free event, there is seating available so come along to enjoy talented local musicians doing their stuff to raise funds for us and to also to raise awareness of HIV in the community.
There are a huge number of very talented people who are donating their time and expertise so please do come along to support them, and us. We look forward to meeting you on the day, there will be information about HIV and members of staff, trustees and volunteers of the Crescent will be happy to talk to you about the work we do.
