Queen's Award for Voluntary Service

The Crescent is thrilled that Her Majesty has bestowed the Queen's Award for Voluntary Service upon the Crescent. This is the highest award a voluntary organisation can receive in the UK and is the equivalent to an MBE for us.

We are thrilled that Her Majesty has recognised the hard work of our volunteers and staff in the community, we are one of only three organisations to receive this award in Hertfordshire. There were 193 charities and community groups who received the award this year. The Crescent is very proud to be one of those, more details on the award can be found here >>>Press Release QAVS

The Crescent needs your help ! Please make a donation if you can !

As some of you will be aware, The Crescent has been without regular funding since June 2011 – we are still fighting the decision to withdraw funding by Hertfordshire County Council so please feel free to write to your MP & County Councillor to complain.

We are entirely reliant on public donations to continue our work – hundreds of people rely on us for support! Please visit our Donate page to help us continue helping those most in need. We are seeing a huge rise in referrals this year – we really need your help now more than ever.

For updates please visit our Blog (www.savethecrescent.wordpress.com) which contains the full story, ways you can lend your help and support, and a list of people who you can write to in support of us and our cause.
