STOP PRESS - New Service - Home Sampling HIV Testing !!
We are very pleased to announce that our testing service is to resume in time for National HIV Testing Week. We will be offering a home sampling kit for those who wish to test in their own home with results delivered by the Crescent once analysed.
The testing kits will be available by post and in person from the Crescent. Simply follow the kit instructions then post your sample back to the laboratory in the freepost envelope, your results will be provided by the Crescent after analysis. It is a completely free and confidential service.
If you wish you may take the test at our premises with support before and after testing as appropriate. In the event of a reactive or positive result we will fast track you to the Watford Sexual Health Centre for a second, confirmatory test, with appropriate support thoughout the process.
Please do feel free to call us in complete confidence on 01727 842532 to discuss any aspect of this service, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org Alternatively click Appointments to request a kit or to get more information on this new service.
The Crescent is under threat of closure!
As some of you will be aware, The Crescent has been under threat of closure since June 2011 – we are still fighting this decision so please feel free to write to your MP & County Councillor to complain.
We are entirely reliant on public donations as our funding stopped in 2011 – hundreds of people rely on us for support! Please visit our Donate page to help us continue helping those most in need. We are seeing a huge rise in referrals this year – we really need your help now more than ever.
For updates please visit our Blog (www.savethecrescent.wordpress.com) which contains the full story, ways you can lend your help and support, and a list of people who you can write to in support of us and our cause.
You can also see the latest news articles published by the local newspapers there too –search these online at www.hertsad.co.uk.
